  • Consultant Trauma Surgeon at Apollo Hospitals International Ltd, Ahmedabad, India from 4th December 2004 till date. It is a 400 bedded Multispecialty Hospital having 10-bedded fully equipped Emergency Ward. Hon.Consultant Trauma Surgeon, B.J.M.C & New Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad.

Experience in Traumatology:
  • I have done my postdoctoral fellowship in Trauma-Care at L.T.M.G.hospital, Mumbai, India. It is the Level І Trauma Center that is having more than 3000 polytrauma cases per year. This fellowship was of two-year duration, which I completed in Sept 2004.
  • Worked in capacity of Adhoc Lecturer in Department of General Surgery for two months after completing fellowship.
  • 9 months in the Neurosurgery as trauma fellow and done more than 400 emergency craniotomies for various indications independently.
  • Six months in Intensive Care Unit of Trauma ward and had done all the resuscitative procedures.
  • Three months in Burns Unit. I have done many skin grafting procedures, Primary Excision of Eschar with Early skin grafting, Contracture Release, Cadaver skin harvesting and running a Skin Bank.
  • Three month in Othopaedic Department as Trauma Fellow and have done many closed Reduction of Long Bone Fractures.
  • I have done voluntary work in many natural and man made disasters like Earthquake, Riots, Cyclone and Bomb Blasts etc.

  • More than 250 Emergency Laparotomies for Splenectomy, Liver lacerations, Bowel Injuries, Nephrectomy etc.

  • Endotracheal intubation,Tracheostomy, Cricothyroidotomy, Intercostal Tube Drainage, Diagnostic Peritoneal Lavage, Central Venous line ( Femoral, IJV, Subclavian) .
